We discovered that surfactants used in shampoos and treatments can accelerate the aging of scalp and hair follicle cells. This suggests that shampoos and treatments might be contributing factors to hair thinning.

Surfactants are "excellent" substances that easily blend with both water and oil, allowing them to mix and remove dirt, which water and oil wouldn't ordinarily do.
There are four types of surfactants:

● Anionic Surfactants
　Uses: Shampoos, body soaps
　Characteristics: Good lathering, excellent emulsification

● Cationic Surfactants
　Uses: Conditioners
　Characteristics: Antistatic effect

● Amphoteric Surfactants
　Uses: Shampoos, body soaps
　Characteristics: Mildening, synergistic effect with other surfactants

● Nonionic Surfactants
　Uses: Emulsification in all cosmetics
　Characteristics: Excellent emulsification, low lathering

After conducting cytotoxicity tests on approximately 100 types of surfactants, we found that "anionic surfactants" with good lathering properties and "cationic surfactants" with strong conditioning effects have a significant adverse impact on hair-forming cells. These surfactants are widely used in shampoos and treatments.

On the other hand, we discovered that polysorbate, a "nonionic surfactant," has cell-friendly properties. Ultimately, the surfactant with the least adverse effect on the human body was "low-foaming surfactant."

This discovery enabled us to develop a shampoo/treatment that is ultimately gentle on the scalp.

① Brush thoroughly to loosen dirt.

② Rinse hair and scalp thoroughly with lukewarm water for 2 to 3 minutes.

③ Dispense an appropriate amount of scalp cleansing cream into your hands, spread it evenly, and then massage it into your entire scalp.

  【Usage Guidelines】

  　  Short hair: 1-2 pumps

  　  Medium hair: 2-3 pumps

  　  Long hair: 3-5 pumps

④ Rinse thoroughly with water until there is no slippery residue left on the scalp.

⑤ After shampooing, apply treatment to all hair, leave on for 3 to 5 minutes to allow the high-performance hair repair ingredients to penetrate thoroughly.

⑥ Rinse thoroughly, focusing on the scalp.

Q. Why doesn't it foam?

A. It was found that surfactants that foam well have a strong stimulating effect on scalp cells (cytotoxicity*), causing a burden on the scalp. Therefore, Ayur Master Scalp Cleansing uses a mild, non-foaming surfactant (patented). It gently cleanses the scalp without burdening it, while protecting the scalp's barrier function. Q. Does it still clean effectively even without foam?

A. Foaming and cleaning ability are not related. Scalp cleansing has undergone cleansing ability tests, and we have confirmed that it removes dirt sufficiently. Its non-foaming cream texture makes it easy to massage, thoroughly removes sebum impurities, and provides excellent moisturizing power to maintain a healthy scalp and hair.

Q. What is the difference between this and other non-foaming cream shampoos?

A. While both are non-foaming, their feel and properties are completely different. Commercial cream shampoos contain cationic surfactants, which have strong cytotoxicity, and fatty acid esters. Our scalp cleansing has been tested for all its ingredients and is an ultra-mild shampoo.

Q. I'm concerned if the cream is rinsed off completely.

A. It is said that the ideal rinsing time for a healthy scalp and hair is about 3 times the washing time, so please rinse thoroughly. If your scalp and hair feel no longer slippery to the touch, you've rinsed enough.

Q. My scalp feels moisturized.

A. Since it contains many moisturizing ingredients such as jojoba oil and almond oil, your scalp may feel more moisturized compared to other shampoos. A dry scalp can lead to scalp problems such as dandruff and excessive sebum secretion. Jojoba oil, almond oil, and 18 types of Ayurvedic herbs gently moisturize the scalp and hair, promoting a healthy scalp environment. If you are concerned, we recommend rinsing thoroughly.

Q. What is the scent?
